Been an eternity since the last Books album, but The Way Out is everything I wanted it to be and more (it’s currently sporting a tasty 82 over on Metacritic). Their unique brand of “collage music” is still very much the bulk of the record, but “Free Translator” shows the Books moving even closer to traditional song structures – and few are as lovely as this one.
