12th Planet is a dubstep/electro DJ from Los Angeles who also happens to be the founder of SMOG Records and host of Orange County’s monthly “Dubtroit” event. More importantly, how long is it going to be until everyone starts casually describing music as having “that Skrillex sound?” You know, that high-pitched WHIR-WHIR, usually followed by a couple WHONK WHONKs that could best be described as the demented bondage love child of R2-D2 and C-3PO. I almost feel bad about continually posting Skrillex-related material here, but bea(s)ts like this must be shared.
