Just saw legendary post-rockers Godspeed You! Black Emperor last night at the Fox Theatre in Pomona on their sold-out reunion tour. Epic set befitting a band whose average track length nears the twenty-minute mark. Makes for great study/mood/life music. The three-movement “Sleep” is my favorite GY!BE track, off their seminal Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven LP. “They don’t sleep anymore on the beach…”
