The 1900s are an indie pop band from Chicago that a friend described to me as “Belle & Sebastian with more female vocals.” An apt description, and considering that they’ve released four albums already why is it so hard for me to find anything about them online? Their newest, Return of the Century, came out last November, and almost certainly would have found a place on my best-of list if I had known about them. Don’t sleep on this band if you like your indie highly melodic and obscenely catchy.
