Laura Stevenson is better known as the waifish keyboardist of sizable punk group Bomb the Music Industry!, but her solo work is making a compelling case for itself. Her sophomore LP with the Cans (most of who also play in BtMI!) is a light collection of finger-picked folk with a thick Americana bent that comes through in the lush production and Stevenson’s distinctive, happy-go-lucky vocals. In short, it’s a perfect album for the upcoming summer. Sit Resist was released on April 26 on Don Giovanni records.
