Half of brother/sister duo The Fiery Furnaces, Eleanor Friedberger will be releasing her first solo album next Tuesday. Recorded last summer and called, surprisingly, Last Summer, it’s a lot like you’d expect from the Fiery Furnaces singer, albeit more straightforward than that semi avant-garde group and with a smooth ’70s singer-songwriter vibe. Check it out if you like quirky yet consistently catchy indie pop.
