The Jezabels have been a buzz band in Australia for years, but ever since their long-awaited debut Prisoner dropped last month they’ve been surging in popularity this side of the Pacific. Prisoner is atmospheric indie rock in the vein of their countrymen Parades, but its frontwoman Hayley Main (who kind of reminds me of Karen O) who really put them over the top. “Endless Summer” is a good representation of their sound but all of Prisoner is ace.
